Coronavirus COVID-19: "The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus." - The CDC
Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the recommendations and actions set by federal, state, and local agencies, the Clovis Rockets Softball organization is suspending all softball related activities until further notice. We do not make this decision easily. We live, love, and breathe softball. But we need to prioritize first the basic health and safety of our student athletes, our families, our officials and supporters. Following the examples of the leaders of our sport - the NCAA, colleges, CIF, and local high school districts - we feel strongly to act proactively in the safeguarding of our athletes and community. If the MLB, NBA, and NCAA see it fit to suspend athletic competition and practices until the steepest threat of this virus recedes, then the Clovis Rockets will also act decisively to help prevent and slow the spread of the virus amongst us by suspending play until it is deemed safe again.
As we know more information and details, we will post it here to keep you updated. Please direct specific questions about your team to your coach. All our coaches contact info can be found on our Contact Us page on the website. In this challenging time, we appreciate and thank you for supporting our community-minded approach.
In the meantime, we pray all our athletes, families, and communities will emerge healthy and stronger than ever as a result of this crisis.

What should I do if I think I or my child may have a COVID-19 infection?
First call your doctor or pediatrician for advice.
If you do not have a doctor and you are concerned that you or your child may have COVID-19, contact your local board of health. They can direct you to the best place for evaluation and treatment in your area.
It's best to not seek medical care in an emergency department unless you have symptoms of severe illness. Severe symptoms include high or very low body temperature, shortness of breath, confusion, or feeling you might pass out. Call the emergency department ahead of time to let the staff know that you are coming, so they can be prepared for your arrival.
How do I know if I have COVID-19 or the regular flu?
COVID-19 often causes symptoms similar to those a person with a bad cold or the flu would experience. And like the flu, the symptoms can progress and become life-threatening. Your doctor is more likely to suspect coronavirus if:

The Clovis Rockets started in 1992 and we recently celebrated our 25th year as a respected Girls "A" Travel Fastpitch Softball Organization. Throughout this time our primary focus has remained on the development of the player both in the classroom and on the field. The Clovis Rockets understand that our student athletes must first perform at the highest level in the classroom before they can step on the softball field. Our coaches believe that the time and effort our players place into their education will reap rewards well beyond their softball careers. As our players put forth the effort in the classroom, the Clovis Rockets coaches and staff members work tirelessly to elevate each player’s softball skills so they can compete and be successful at the highest level of competition.
Once our players have attained that level of performance, our organizations intense program of marketing your daughter within the college recruiting process begins. Our coaching staffs understand that we must work tirelessly to promote our players and find them a home at the next level. In seeking that perfect college we leave no stone unturned as we understand that this life changing decision involves each family’s education, financial, and athletic needs. Our focused on-going recruiting program seeks out the greatest possible opportunities from every NCAA, NAIA, and JUCO interested in our talented athletes.
If these words strike close to home for you and your family and you would like to be part of a different approach, let’s see if the Rockets might in fact be a worthwhile opportunity for your daughter.
